Maria Menounos

Maria helped her mother, who was suffering from Stage 4 cancer of the brain. She discovered that she was in a serious health situation. In February 2014 Menounos started experiencing troubling symptoms. She tells PEOPLE that she had been suffering from headaches, lightheadedness and nausea since February 2014. My speech was getting slurred, and I had trouble comprehension of the teleprompter. Menounos discovered she had a meningioma-size brain tumor. An MRI confirmed the diagnosis. Menounos scheduled an appointment to see her mother's neurosurgeon, Dr. Keith L. Black. They scheduled surgery to take place on June 8, Menounos' 39th birthday. Dr. Black stated that the tumor was 98 percent harmless. But, we won't be able to know until they get there. In the arduous surgery that took about seven hours, Dr. Black was able to take out 99.9 per cent of the cancer. It was considered to be benign. "He said there's an 8% to 7% possibility that it will return," she says. But I will take these odds any day. Menounos has been admitted to hospital for 6 days, has returned to home, and spending moment recuperating. Maria Maria Maria
